Firstly, walking into the place is a stand out as it is absolutely beautifully designed. The staff were very welcoming and kind. I ordered the burrito and it was hands down one of the best burritos I've ever eaten. Best to come hungry as the portion was huge. Would 100% recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

Blak Cede isn’t just a café, it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth, pride. The space is welcoming and beautifully curated, with every detail reflecting a deep sense of identity and purpose. The food is absolutely incredible. Fresh, flavourful, and full of heart – with native ingredients that make every bite feel special. The coffee is top-tier too (one of the best I’ve had in ages!) The team is warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You’re not just served — you’re looked after. There’s a real sense of pride, care, and connection from the moment you walk in.

Blak Cede has to be one of the (if not the) best cafes in Nowra. Their food is incredible. Their serving sizes are ridiculously generous. It is clear that the staff have pride in their workplace. The plating of the food is exquisite, and the garnishing choices for each dish perfectly complement the course. I love that they feature local produce in each dish, and incorporate traditionally indigenous foods as well. Blak Cede is a locally owned and operated business that prides itself in sourcing as much of its produce as locally as possible (down to growing some of it themselves). It is an indigenous owned business that provides employment and training for many people in the region. 10/10 chose Blak Cede as your Brunch/Lunch spot if you are in Nowra.

It’s definitely worth leaving the highway and visiting this cafe for a superb breakfast or lunch. (Anything really!). My husband discovered them a couple of months back heading South from Sydney and had arguably the best breakfast ever. Today we’re heading North and called in for yummy lunch and fabulous tea. Loved the music. No time for photos as the meals encourage us to jump in and savour.

Amazing food with a focus on native Australian spices and flavours. The strawberry gum croissant was sweet but perfectly balanced by a tart coulis and tart berry powder dusted on the cream. The main meal was huge with an amazing array of textures and flavours. Last but not least my soy flat white was perfect- will definitely return to try more.

I went to get a takeaway coffee, but the decor was inviting and the takeaway foods were beautiful. Having made the decision to eat a meal, I tried the Kangaroo burrito. Not your typical Tex/Mex, but a rich and interesting, flavorful mix of beautifully prepared roo and spices! The friendly staff interacted playfully with the regulars, and this cafe definitely had a feel good vibe! A great experience overall, I can't wait to go back and try the Roo surf and turf!

Beautiful cafe in Nowra and helpful staff. Creative menu and loved the decor inside. Tried the Big Noter to share, was Avery generous serving of food (enough for two people) and added kangaroo salami. The salami was yummy, never had kangaroo before. Really loved the cafe, would revisit in future.

Coffee and food are authentic and excellent, and the staff are super friendly. Great to see another thriving First Nations business here in Nowra. Love the 1980s & 90s tunes playing.
